Why AAA Forklifts for Training

Practical, job-specific safety training focused on inspections, load handling, stability, site hazards, and real-world operating practice.

Flexible Delivery

On-site scheduling helps reduce downtime and lets us address your aisles, racking, docks, and pedestrian flow.

Real Equipment, Real Scenarios

We train on the equipment your team actually runs so evaluations reflect the work you do daily.

Clear Records

You receive documentation with operator name, date, evaluator, truck class, and result for audits and insurance.

OSHA Guidelines & Training Format

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 requires employers to ensure each powered industrial truck operator is trained and evaluated before operating, and re-evaluated at least every three years or sooner after an incident, unsafe operation, or assignment to a different truck type. Training includes both knowledge and performance components.

Classroom / Theory

Stability, load centers, capacity, ramps, dock practices, battery/LPG safety, pedestrians, and daily inspections.

Practical / Skills

Start-up, visibility, controlled travel, stacking/unstacking, load handling, horn use, and hazard recognition on a tailored course.

Evaluation + Documentation

Each operator is evaluated on the specific truck class(es). Results and evaluator details are provided for your records.

Note: OSHA does not issue a “license.” The employer certifies the operator after training and evaluation.

Certification, Renewal & New-Hire Options

New operators get foundational instruction plus supervised practice before evaluation. Recertifications streamline theory and focus on performance. Incident-based refreshers target root causes and reinforce correct behavior.
